The marker sidebar
Every count, length, area and note you add to a drawing becomes a marker, and every marker belongs to a group. The sidebar on the right of the takeoff workspace is where those groups live. It is the place you go to check what was found, rename and recolour groups, merge stragglers together, hide what is in the way and link groups to priced items before you export.
The sidebar has two parts: a toolbar pinned to the top, and the group list underneath it.
The sidebar toolbar
The first row is a strip of square icon buttons:
- Collapse all groups / Expand all groups — fold or unfold every group at once.
- Collapse sidebar / Expand sidebar — switch between Takeoff mode and Review mode.
- Filter marker types — tick and untick Count Symbol, Auto Count Symbol, Linear Measurement and Area Measurement. The Canvas Only option limits the filter to the drawing, and the Hide / Cover switch chooses what happens to unticked types. The icon becomes while a filter is active.
- Detection view / Zones view / Annotations view — a radio choice that changes how the list is organised.
- AoIs, Legends & Zones — a dropdown holding the AoI, Legend, Zone and Service lists for this drawing (Takeoff mode only).
- Ignore Colours & Remove Background — the drawing clean-up tools (Takeoff mode only).
- 1x to 5x — thumbnail size for detection images (Review mode only).
Below that sits a Search groups... box, and on vector drawings a Sizes on drawing popover listing every pipe size found on the sheet.
The group list
Groups are listed newest first, all types together. When you have created Services, the list is split into one collapsible section per Service, with an Ungrouped section at the end. In Zones view the same rows are repeated under each zone.
Each row reads left to right: the colour swatch or symbol thumbnail, the type icon, a link button, the editable label, a count or total, then the collapse chevron and the action icons ending in the menu. Hovering a row thickens that group's markers on the drawing so you can see where they are.
